Unique programs are being planned for Community Tour to engage with, and provide unique learning opportunities to the community.

ALM Fire Starters

ALM Fire Starters are one-day events providing developers and decision makers information on the forthcoming Visual Studio and Team Foundation 2010 releases and the knowledge to start achieving ALM zen.

Guest Lecturing – Colleges and Universities

This program will enable students and faculty members at colleges and universities to have direct access to real-world experience and technical knowledge in the form of interactive lecturing seminars on topics to include Microsoft technologies, design patterns, object-oriented programming, version control, and more.

User Group and Code Camp Presentations

Steve will continue his impressive speaking schedule to software developers and IT professionals at community events across North America.

Community Leadership Summits

Community Leadership Summits consist of open-space style meetings devoted to issues related to running technical events and engaging the community from a leadership perspective as well as instruction on leadership related topics. Lessons learned from these events will be compiled and released on a shared wiki.

Community Training Camps

Community Training Camps focus on mentoring current and future influentials on giving and preparing for presentations, public speaking, blogging, community engagement, and more.

Volunteer Outreach Programs

Provide opportunities for the community to give back to the larger community. Events will include working with Habitat for Humanity. Currently on the schedule is a volunteer day with Habitat for Humanity in New Orleans the Saturday before Tech•Ed 2010.
